Flamenco space
Join us for our first Flamenco SPACE events!
Whether you are a flamenco singer, guitarist, dancer, or just a lover of all things flamenco, this event is for you. We will have a Juerga (flamenco party) together, and all are welcome to share something they are working on individually or as a cuadro.
Tom Kimball will anchor the event musically and will be able to sing & play the following palos for dancers that want to try dancing them:
tangos
bulerias
sevillanas
solea por bulerias
alegrias
guajiras
tientos
fandangos de Huelva
garrotín
farruca
Dancers/Singers are also welcome to perform to pre-recorded music if that is preferred. Singers/Guitarists are welcome to accompany Tom or try out accompanying a dancer independently.
The event will be held at Bulerias Tapas Bar in Chicago, 2507 W. North Ave. On the following Sundays:

The event will be informal but the restaurant audience will be there to enjoy the performance as well. We will dance Sevillanas together and do some Bulerias & Tangos pataita, The ultimate goal is to bring our flamenco community together, grow in our skills and abilities to do tablao performances, and learn from one another. If you are working on developing tablao flamenco skills or improving your ability to perform, this event is for you!
Come to enjoy the juerga, get to know other people in the Chicago flamenco community, and enjoy the food and drinks at Bulerias Tapas Bar.
