1:00pm Compania La Rosa Oscura Choreography Repertory Class (50 minutes)
This flamenco choreography class is for anyone willing to dedicate time to practicing in between classes in preparation for performances in the north suburbs and Chicago. We will be working on Sevillanas and Tangos during the winter 8 week session, adding Alegrias con Mantón in the spring.
The class location is Dance Connection Studio, 221 Center Street Grayslake. We will be at the BACK STUDIO, so park in the lot BEHIND the dance studio.
Missed classes cannot be made up, but you choose drop in classes instead of registering for the entire 8 weeks.
This class is open to students of all ages (over 13), fitness levels, and genders; everyone is absolutely welcome. This class is for people who already have some flamenco training or who have taken the Absolute Beginners Class already.
What to wear: Please wear comfortable clothing. Some students prefer leggings or sweatpants, while some prefer a long ruffled skirt. Some choreography does use the skirt. A closer fitting top is preferred so posture can be seen and technique development can be supported. Please wear flamenco shoes for this class.
