Sunday Mornings, 11:00am (60 minutes)
For the Fall 2 Session, we will be doing a tour of palos. Each week we will focus on the music, attitude/aire, and movement types of six different palos (or styles/’branches’ of flamenco): Soleá, Caracoles, Solea por Bulerias, Tientos, Guajiras, Seguiriyas. We will learn a movement combination from each style, each week.
Fall 2 Session Dates: 6 weeks on Sundays
November 1, 2026
November 8, 2026
November 15, 2026
————No Classes Nov 22————
November 29, 2026
December 6, 2026
December 13, 2026
***
The class location is Dance Connection Studio, 221 Center Street Grayslake. We will be at the BACK STUDIO, so park in the lot BEHIND the dance studio.
Missed classes cannot be made up, but you choose drop in classes instead of registering for the entire session.
This class is open to students of all ages (over 13), fitness levels, and genders; everyone is absolutely welcome. No experience is necessary for this class.
What to wear: Please wear comfortable clothing. Some students prefer leggings or sweatpants, while some prefer a long ruffled skirt. Some choreography does use the skirt. A closer fitting top is preferred so posture can be seen and technique development can be supported. Sneakers are okay until flamenco shoes can be purchased. Click here for information about purchasing flamenco shoes online.
Payment can be made here online or in cash/venmo when you attend class. Contact me with any questions.
