12:00pm Multilevel Flamenco Technique & Movement Class (50 minutes) Appropriate for beginners and advanced beginners, we will work on flamenco posture & attitude, braceo (armwork), floreo (handwork), and taconeo (footwork). We will work on basic turns technique, marking steps, and learn a short tangos or bulerias combination each week. Practice is optional for this class; there will be nothing to memorize from week to week. Feel free to drop in!
1:00pm Compania La Rosa Oscura Choreography Repertory Class (50 minutes)
This class is for anyone willing to dedicate time to practicing in between classes in preparation for performances in the north suburbs and Chicago. We will be working on Sevillanas and Tangos during the winter 8 week session, adding Alegrias con Mantón in the spring.
Spring Session Preview: 8 weeks on Saturdays.

The class location is Dance Connection Studio, 221 Center Street Grayslake. We will be at the BACK STUDIO, so park in the lot BEHIND the dance studio.
This class is open to students of all ages (over 13), fitness levels, and genders; everyone is absolutely welcome.
What to wear: Please wear comfortable clothing. Some students prefer leggings or sweatpants, while some prefer a long ruffled skirt. Some choreography does use the skirt. A closer fitting top is preferred so posture can be seen and technique development can be supported. Sneakers are okay until flamenco shoes can be purchased; Advanced Beginners should purchase flamenco shoes. Please contact me for help finding flamenco shoes or find a reputable shop online. You can find secondhand flamenco shoes on Facebook in the public group called Flamenco Marketplace.
Payment can be made here online ahead of class or in cash/venmo when you attend class in person. Contact me with any questions at all.
